Who We Are
Hope Counseling has been in operation for over 40 years as an extension and community service of Richmont Graduate University, which has campuses in Atlanta and Chattanooga. We partner with local churches, which act as our host facilities, to provide mental health services to the various communities that make up metro-Atlanta. Our services are available to all area residents regardless of race and ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, or religious affiliation (or lack thereof).
Initially staffed exclusively by Richmont Graduate student interns in the last year of their clinical training program, Hope has expanded to include licensed counselors and broadened our service offerings beyond basic counseling. Hope counselors are trained to work with individuals, families, couples, and groups; and to address a wide variety of mental, emotional, and social health issues.
Community Impact
"Labels do violence to people. You can’t treat the label; you have to treat the person behind the label."

Our Mission and Values
Hope counselors approach each client’s case with compassion and integrity. Our mission is to offer a helping hand to those in need and join with them to work toward meeting mental, emotional, and social health goals. All counselors are trained in and utilize empirically-grounded approaches and take into consideration the entirety of each clients’ person.
Standard Fees
The standard session rate for intern clinicians is $50. The session rate for licensed clinicians varies. All clinicians offer reduced rates for those facing financial challenges. Payment is due in full at the time services are rendered.
